  • BAC in science or a relevant field;
  • Minimum seven (7) years of experience in a similar position;
  • Experience in food standards (an asset);
  • Very good knowledge of quality systems, continuous improvement programs and food standards (ISO, GFSI, 5S, Six Sigma, Kaisen, etc.);
  • Languages of communication:
    • Spoken: Excellent knowledge of French and good knowledge of English;
    • Written: very good knowledge of French and good knowledge of English;
  • Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.

Under the authority of the Production Manager, you will be responsible for the implementation and execution of the quality management and food standards program. You will also be responsible for supervising the quality team and supporting all plant operations by providing the necessary procedures and standards to manufacture high quality products and to strive for quality within the plant. You will have to implement and ensure compliance with quality procedures in order to obtain and maintain the certifications required by our customers. Among other things, you will have to perform the following tasks:

  • Write the AQL sampling procedures as well as the statistical methods of inspection and analysis, ensure that they have been followed and that any discrepancies are recorded and investigated;
  • Participates in the evaluation of quality complaints with customer service and relevant stakeholders to determine causes and find solutions;
  • Manage corrective action plans;
  • Follow up on internal and external non-conformities;
  • Train employees (food standards, quality system) through various courses and ad hoc interventions within the framework of operations;
  • Participate in the implementation and maintenance of the company’s quality certifications (ISO, FSSC 22000, etc.);
  • Establish partnerships with other departments and divisions of the company;
  • Ensure that the inspection of the boxes is done at the planned stages of the production process, that no defect goes unnoticed to prevent a non-conforming product from leaving the plant;
  • Manage the internal audit program and conduct cleanliness audits of the plant;
  • Facilitate the development of a culture of value-added production and continuous improvement from a quality perspective, moving from a reactive to a preventive approach;
  • Establish and follow up on the performance indicators of its site with the management in place;
  • All other related tasks related to the function.
