Skills and Requirements

  • Professional degree in mechanical parts and accessories sales or a combination of experience or training deemed equivalent;
  • Minimum of 6 months of relevant clerical experience in a comparable position;
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel;
  • Valid driver’s license;
  • Good organizational skills;
  • Enjoy working in a team;
  • Respect for priorities;
  • Ability to learn new applications;
  • Have a sense of resourcefulness.

Reporting to the maintenance manager, the parts clerk will be responsible for:

  • Process incoming requests and route or distribute parts and supplies within the facility;
  • Possess basic knowledge of purchasing to be able to perform buyer’s replacement when needed;
  • Receive and sort parts and supplies;
  • Manage items and their disposition in the warehouse;
  • Manage a database;
  • Ensure proper inventory management;
  • Maintain inventory control;
  • Communicate with suppliers;
  • Complete return forms for manufacturers to justify the return of a part;
  • Perform other related clerical duties.
