Skills and Requirements

  • College diploma in administration or a combination of experience or training deemed equivalent;
  • Have a good knowledge of costing principles;
  • Comfortable with number manipulation and understanding of cost calculations;
  • Ability to read a technical specification and associate the required production steps;
  • Good knowledge of Excel software;
  • Logical thinking;
  • Ability to work in a team environment;
  • Ability to prioritize;
  • Ease of learning.

Reporting to the pricing manager, the pricing assistant will be responsible for:

  • Receiving quote requests from the customer or representative;
  • Create products using the internal computer system;
  • Determining the required production route and calculating the selling price (using SMM or an Excel or Access application);
  • Prepare and forward quotations to customers and representatives;
  • Communicate with customers or representatives as needed to obtain missing details for the preparation of a quote;
  • Prepare reports and analyses of various data related to bids;
  • Analyze sales reports and follow up with representatives;
  • Filing of quotation requests;
  • Performing various administrative tasks.
